By and large, this ford-jones.com is about the career and films of Harrison Ford... but, celebrity is a major side effect of a successful career in film. So, this page is where you'll find news and views related to celebrity. This includes reports on Harrison and Calista as a couple, and any silly, poofy, or tabloidy news that does not directly relate to Ford's work in film.

If you're looking for news on Harrison's charitable endeavors, work on behalf of the environment, and/or passion for aviation (topics that are most definitely not poofy), check out Merit Badges!

HARRY GIVES CALI DIAMONDS!

Photo Caption: Harrison and Calista sipped Cristal champagne to celebrate almost four years of togetherness.

ONE of Hollywood's most solid May-December romances is still going strong! Harrison Ford, 63, and ladylove Calista Flockhart, 41, toasted almost four years together on Jan. 2 at Beverly Hills restaurant La Dolce Vita, where Harrison presented Calista with a diamond tennis bracelet from Tiffany & Co.! "She was so happy, she plastered him with hugs and kisses," reports one witness. "Harry said, 'Doesn't my wife look beautiful tonight?"' says the observer. The couple aren't wed yet, but "they looked very close to it!" Maybe the next Tiffany box will have an engagement ring in it? - JENNIFER PEARSON

Harrison Ford, at your service
By Inside Track

Breezing through Boston to promote his upcoming film, “Firewall,” mega-star Harrison Ford told a Loews Boston Common audience that he viewed acting as a “service occupation.”

Who knew Boston filmgoers would take the 63-year-old screen star literally!

At a Q&A following the “Firewall” screening, the first Ford fan asked: “Will you shake my hand?” Ever-so-accommodating, Harrison obliged.

“Will you sing happy birthday to me?” another Ford fiend pleaded. The erstwhile Hans Solo, who is not known for his crooning credentials, sang the lucky lady a few verses.

After that the attention-hungry showgoers just got greedy, asking the actor everything from whether or not he’d jump out of a cake, to whether he’d give them a job!

And no, Ashton Kutcher’s “Punk’d” cameras were not in the house!

Despite the endlessly inane queries, not a soul inquired whether Harrison and galpal Calista Flockhart were ever going to tie the knot. Instead, they asked whether there’d really be a fourth installment to the “Indiana Jones” adventures. Which everyone with a subscription to Entertainment Weekly knows is a definite go!

“Hopefully this summer,” Harrison helpfully added.

“Firewall” hits theaters Feb. 10.

Ford wears quite a number

Having Harrison Ford as a customer is a problem any young fashion line would love to have. But when your clothing is aimed at gay men, how do you publicize it?

Ford walked into a Chelsea men's wear store recently and liked the 429 T-shirts so much, he bought one in each color ("Green, brown and eggplant," according to a spy). He probably didn't realize that 429 is so named because it spells G-A-Y on a telephone keypad.

(A colleague pointed out it also spells "hay" and "icy," but that's not the point.)

429 president Luis Fernandez says: "It is in some way a pun on sexuality, but 429 stands for the idea that it doesn't really matter whether you are gay or straight, but it definitely matters that you are confident and comfortable in your own skin."

You go, Harrison!
