A BIT ABOUT THE GALLERY, BEFORE YOU BEGIN...
The Gallery at ford-jones.com is being built day-by-day, and when finished will contain photographs from all of Ford's films as well as publicity shots and magazine scans collected through the years. The development of the Gallery is going to move along with the development of the Ford Film Fest pages, so for instance, most of our What Lies Beneath photos will be posted as the What Lies Beneath film pages are added. We will make note of major updates to the Gallery on this page, but we'll also be making smaller updates quite often, so keep checking into the Gallery and watch it grow!
A few notes on our Gallery:
First, you will find that some of the photographs have watermarks, and some do not. What's up with this? We watermark any photograph that is actually scanned by us or one of a small group of buds who once in a while will scan something in for us. We do this because scanning is time consuming and the photos and magazines we've collected over the years weren't free, so we don't want people to abscond with our photos and post them on other websites. That said, we do have original, un-watermarked scans of all of our photos, so if you're interested in a photo please email us (and we love to trade, so if you've got something to offer in return, even better!)
The photographs that do NOT contain watermarks are ones that we have downloaded from various sources on the Internet. For instance, IMDb usually has a collection of production stills in their movie pages... if we download a batch of production stills from IMDb, it'd be pretty silly of us to add our watermark to those, now wouldn't it?
If we obtain, with permission, photos from another fan or movie website that have watermarks, we will maintain those watermarks. Kind of confusing, huh? Well, just get into the Gallery and we're sure it will be apparent soon enough how it works.
Second, we try very hard to provide copyright and authorship data when it is available. If you don't see that information listed in the comments, then it wasn't available. Like all fan websites, we don't have the right of ownership to any of these photographs (even ones we scanned in ourselves), so we will try as much as possible to at least let you know where the photo came from and who took it and/or owns it.
Third, please feel free to give us feedback on the Gallery, and to contribute any cool photos if you'd like!
