Harrison Ford's tramp blunder

LIFE STYLE EXTRA ( UK) - Harrison Ford was reportedly mistaken for a tramp when he fell asleep in girlfriend Calista Flockhart's car.

The 64-year-old actor was spotted by security guards have a sneaky nap on the back seat of the vehicle, which was parked on set while Calista was shooting her new TV show 'Brothers And Sisters'.

The two guards telephoned police to have the 'intruder' removed and went and got Calista to tell her what was happening.

A source said: "The guards told Calista some old guy had crawled into her car to go to sleep and that they'd called the cops to have him removed. Just as they were explaining the situation Harrison, looking dishevelled, sat up and asked, 'What's all the commotion?' Calista giggled as the guards apologised, saying they didn't realise it was Harrison."

POP QUIZ: HARRISON FORD

Harrison Ford has much to celebrate. Raiders of the Lost Ark, now a classic, recently marked its 25th anniversary. Ford turned 64. And production of Indiana Jones 4 is getting ready to roll. He gives us the Scoop from his LA home.

On filming Raiders:
It was hard work -- Tunisia was tough with the health issues [most of the cast caught dysentery] and logistics -- but it never impinged on our fun, working with Steven [Spielberg] and George [Lucas]. It must have had something to do with our youth and impetuousness.

On his affection for Indy:
The character was a good fit from the very beginning; his specific kind of bravado was more to my taste than Han Solo.

On learning how to crack the whip:
A fellow came by the house, and we stood in the driveway for a couple weeks, and I mastered the moves. It was a bit of a struggle. When you're first learning, the whip tends to come back and lash your ears.

On Indiana Jones 4:
I can tell you that we acknowledge the passage of time. It's set in the '50s; we're no longer battling our original Nazi bad guys.

On celebrating his birthday (July 13) with longtime girlfriend Calista Flockhart:
She gave me far too much; she's a very good present buyer. And she threw a [surprise] party at the ranch [in Wyoming's Jackson Hole].

On life with Flockhart, who's shooting the new TV series Brothers & Sisters:
She's up in the morning before [her 5-year-old son] Liam is awake. But it's nice. I'm enjoying my time with him.

HARRISON AND CALISTA TO WED!

Calista Flockhart and boyfriend of four years Harrison Ford will finally tie the knot this year. One reason for the delay: The Ally McBeal star, 41, wants a sibling for adopted 5-year-old son Liam, and Harrison was dragging his heels. But when the Indiana Jones star, 63, realized that Calista might walk, he agreed to the family addition, a source states. "Harrison has four children and he's at a stage in his life where the thought of changing diapers is not appealing," says the insider. "But when faced with losing her, Harrison caved." His reluctance could also be due to his messy divorce from wife No. 2, screenwriter Melissa Mathison. The two separated in 2001 just before he started dating Flockhart. The divorce was final in 2004, and Mathison reportedly received an &85 million settlement, one of the largest in Hollywood history! Still, "Calista wore him down," and in January, Ford got down on one knee after giving her a diamond bracelet and proposed. Now, that's love!

Harrison and Calista: Life of the Party!

Harrison Ford, 63, and Calista Flockhart, 41, were the last to leave the ABC party at NYC's Tao eatery May 16. But then again, the pair - who sipped drinks and chatted with the cast of Boston Legal, brainchild of Ally McBeal creator David E. Kelley - had reason to celebrate: her drama, Brothers & Sisters, was picked up for fall. (Ford is prepping a new Indiana Jones film.) "They seemed to be having a lot of fun," an onlooker tells Us. "And they walked out holding hands!"

HARRISON AND CALISTA DAZZLE DOWN UNDER

Showing he still has the appeal which thrust him into the limelight nearly three decades ago, Harrison Ford charmed Sydney when he stepped out with attractive partner Calista Flockhart. Hundreds of screaming fans greeted the 63-year-old Hollywood heavyweight at the Australian premiere of his new flick Firewall.

"It's been a while. It's good to be back," said the action star, who has announced plans to reprise his role as gun-slinging hero Indiana Jones in a fourth outing.

Some 12 years have passed since the actor's last trip, so this time around he was making the most of his time by visiting some of the city's top attractions. Apart from admiring its spectacular harbour - which is home to the renowned Opera House and Sydney Habour Bridge - Harrison, Calista and the Ally McBeal star's five-year-old adopted son, Liam, also took in the sights of Taronga Zoo.

The three spent the day making friends with some of the animals, which include koala bears, saltwater crocodiles and a wombat called Abdul. They may also have found time for a stroll along the city's popular Darling Harbour waterfront, with its cafes, museums and shops.

And if the power couple were minded to go further afield, the vast country has plenty more to offer. In the centre of the country is stunning Ayer's Rock. Uluru, as Aboriginal native people call the geological wonder, can appear to change colour, turning from blue to violet and red, depending on the light.

Other fascinating sights include the Twelve Apostles - a line of statuesque rock formations just off the coast - as well as some of the world's finest national parks. (Photo: Getty Images.)

Calista wants Harrison’s baby!

After toasting almost four years of couplehood at swanky La Dolce Vita restaurant in Beverly Hills on Jan. 2, Calista Flockhart, 41, and Harrison Ford, 63, are ready to celebrate another milestone: a baby!

“I heard they are trying to get pregnant,” a friend of Calista tells Star. “I think she was concerned about some things, like her age, and if she should even try to have a baby.” But the source says that as she is generally in good health, Calista – who has an adopted son, Liam, 5 – has decided to try to conceive.

Harrison isn’t knitting booties, but he’s doing his part, too! The Firewall star “has been on a real health kick lately,” says another source. “He goes to Jamba Juice in Santa Monica, Calif., almost every day for green tea ad shots of vitamin-rich wheatgrass juice.”

If there is a baby, is a wedding on the horizon? Possibly, says Calista’s friend. “Calista is madly in love with Harry and happier than she’s ever been. She recently made a photo collage of their cutest pictures and the heading was ‘When Harry Met Cali!’” - JENNIFER PEARSON

Star also says that one of their favorite stops on the boardwalk ( Santa Monica, we’d presume) is the Hot Dog on a Stick café.

Harrison and Paul soften up with Jen and Calista

Harrison Ford and Paul Bettany were both enjoying the company of their leading ladies when they turned out for the premiere of new thriller Firewall on Thursday. The American actor was hand-in-hand with girlfriend Calista Flockhart when he arrived for the screening, while his British co-star was sticking close by the side of wife Jennifer Connelly.

Both actresses had gone along to support their partners as they presented their new film. And the two screen sirens managed to make quite an impression on the press pack, with Calista looking radiant in a figure-hugging charcoal grey number and Jennifer using red satin to contrast her jet-black hair.

It seems likely that Paul in particular was relishing the chance to spend a night out with his Oscar-winning bride, as he confessed that working with Harrison proved rather painful. Speaking to reporters before the premiere, the 34-year-old actor admitted that filming his climactic final fight scene with the Indiana Jones star left him black and blue, despite the fact that Harrison, who is 30 years his senior, didn't have a mark on him.

"I was just trying not to get bruised," he explained. "I wouldn't want to tumble with Harrison Ford in real life. I threw that man through a window seven times and he landed on his head, got up, rebuilt the window with the crew and then got thrown through it again."

And it seems the UK star's fighting skills didn't make much of an impression on his older colleague. "I hit that man in the stomach and he said, 'Could you just land it a bit harder so I could feel it?'," revealed Paul. "So I landed it a bit harder and he wanted a bit more so he could react to it. Finally, I just wound one up and let loose on him and he said, 'That's it!'. It was the most humiliating day of my life."

Any other young actors who fancy their chances of dethroning the 64-year-old, who is something of an action flick veteran, should be warned he has plenty of fight left in him. "Sometimes when I'm preparing to roll down a flight of stairs and wrestle a younger man to the floor, I think 'what on Earth am I doing?'," Harrison confessed. "But it still feels good, so I'll only stop doing it when it really hurts." (Photo: Getty Images.)
